A new concept for our way of looking at art: “humanimalism”

Casa MER results from an educational journey of the gaze. The later remains intense, strong and alive connecting with the most primitive beauty and the most primal instincts. A duality runs through the collection since it combines and connects both joy and enjoyment, passion, viscera, instinctive and animal with a human and rational vision.

To us art means “Let it be”. That is to claim the most essential and primitive principle. We link art with a personal search for beauty, as a way of expressing our identity and our history.

We are the result of the education of the gaze.

We foremost trust our senses in the presence of any art practice.

Our search through art lays in the untold story.

We do not practice predetermination in order to contemplate the art world with freedom.

We establish a dialogue based on emotions to connect with the most primitive nature of the human being.

We continually learn by exploring different views guided by our instincts.

Our way of collecting art reclaims the primary.

The contemporary transcends fashions and trends.

Passion is to explore the enjoyment of the senses as something inherent.

Art has a human and animal function that we explore and share.

Our aim is to value pleasure, delight and enjoyment of the senses, and eliminate meanings connected to human creation that reduce freedom when we look at art.

To promote, disseminate and educate the gaze towards artistic expressions that transgress the traditional vision of art, around the truth behind the human instinct.

For us, sensitivity has to do with the emotion generated by the connection with the artist’s work.  It has to do with something personal and that awakens and discovers things that are not obvious. It is not the material, it is what makes you feel.  It is the dialogue that is established from the emotions with aspects that connect us with the most primitive nature of the human being.

Passion is to be carried away by the most primal instincts as we manage to understand collecting. Passion is to explore the enjoyment of the senses as an inherent condition. We are inclined towards those forms of expression that are outside common places to which art traditionally looks. We share our own personal vision of art.

An open mind translates into a wish to satisfy a restlessness that seeks to understand aspects that take us away from the original artistic intention. It is an attitude of continuous and permanent learning that leads us to try to understand the artistic process.
